Setting up your publications

When you start out, you’ll have no publications, so let’s create one! Click on Create New in the top right hand corner of the main Publications view and you’ll get this pop-up:

As you’ll see, there’s not a lot to do! You give the publication a title, and then a feed URL. In this case, I’m going to use the openly published content from the popular WordPress news site, WP Tavern. The settings below will bring content in daily. If you don’t need a feed to be aggregated, enter http://example.com and set the schedule to never.

If there is a problem with the feed, you might see a message like this when you click on the feed status button:

If you have a failed feed aggregation, please contact your account manager to look into this for you. Most of the time, however, once a feed has been validated as working with a system, it should work for ever but sometimes problems come up and we’re here to help.
